Video games have always been a massive part of my life from as far back as I can remember. There is something special about a medium that allows people to take control of their own adventures, in worlds that are so alike and varied from our own.

 

Gaming is a medium that allows people to play as their own unique character or live through a predestined one and follow them on their adventure and live through the eyes of someone else. No matter how players prefer to play their games, they all have a few things in common regardless of their background.

 

All of this brings every gamer together in a passion that is shared around the world. A passion for games, individual memories unique to the player, stories that are shared and the biggest thing that binds all players together is they can all remember their first ever "WOW" moment with games and can explain how it affected them down to the finest detail.

 

For me, that is the first time I ever set foot on the Halo ring back in 2001 on Halo: Combat Evolved on the Original Xbox, the feeling of adventure and a universe being so alive that I could explore every inch of it and that I can embody the Master Chief and stand against the Covenant. I carry this experience with me throughout all my life and moments like this is what has inspired me to pursue a career in the Games Industry. I want to be able to bring the same feeling to as many people as possible around the world and let them make memories in games I have helped to create that will live with them and be told amongst their friends. I want to inspire people through games, the way they inspired me.
